Age of Curling App Reviews

Great to have since its another 3 years till the next winter olympics. Lots of fun once you get the hang of it!

This is a fantastic app: fun, addicting, and fairly straight forward. Its great for relieving boredom in waiting rooms etc, or before bed, as there is the option to play full games (8 ends, 8 stones), half games (4&4), or custom games of any variation.That being said the AI is a bit weak in strategy (but so am I). My one complaint is that the AI does not concede a losing game. There should be a way for the player or AI to concede. Even without this option it is still a 5 star app.

Good game. 5 stars if it were more challenging and realistic.

Would like a tweak to be able to see the settings AI is using for each throw so I can learn better the amount of curl and weight to use. I see great shots from AI, but am still learning how to control my own throws.

Love playing it on my Mac, love playing it on my iPhone too!

Pretty fun game though its a bit easy once you get the hang of it. Would like to see an option to play others online too. Regardless, Id definitely recommend this one.

Very first app I loaded on my iPhone. Love curling and this is a great, fun app. Updates--a problem. No matter how I try to update (even in iTunes on a desktop computer), it wont upload. Been trying for a half a year or so. Oh, well. Still lots of fun.

After playing this and the other most highly priced curling game app, I can say that this game is probably tied for being the best curling game. Age of curling has the best ambience for sure, and its physics of rock play are equal to those of curling 3D. However, age of curlings competitor has better options to judge stones in play and more realistic angles. In Age of curling, stones do not travel a straight line trajectory when released as they should--they move out from the center and then run parallel to the center line until they curl, if there is a turn on the stone. I really enjoy the different venues and overall design, but I cannot give any curling game a higher rating until it succeeds in more accurately simulating the complicated physics of the real sport.

Very entertaining and engrossing. Fairly accurate physics and good gameplay. Only suggestion would be to allow for defensive brooming as it occurs in the real sport.

Have had this app for almost 2 years now and I still love it. Excellent graphics, Great physics reactions---best curling app available!! Definitely worth buying!

This is one of the few games that exhibits actual curling techniques and strategy. It could use an update for harder difficulties and enhanced sweeping (actual strokes instead of just holding a finger on the screen).

Needs better physics, dissapointing if you play the game in real life. Real ice never curls that much, and too much energy is lost in collisions. I also find aiming difficult, as the stones sometimes run straight down the centerline even if aiming off to the side, particularly if you dont add curl. Its easier to aim my stones in real life than in the app.

One of the first apps I ever purchased and I still at to this day!

Horrible game!! No consistency in curling the stones! Some go strait some curl the wrong way. Wish I could get my money back!!! Deleted the game 20 mins after the download.

Considering all the love and labor that the developer has obviously put into creating this game, it’s perplexing why he/she hasn’t taken the time to upgrade it for retina display. The screen is blurry, which detracts from what is otherwise an excellent gaming experience. If retina display is ever added, I will happily raise my rating to five stars.
